When it comes to buying or selling a car, the average person may not know exactly how the process works, or they may not have the time to see to all the details involved. This is where a dealership comes into play. In an ideal situation, the dealership will handle all of your needs with ease and act as an intermediary between car buyers and sellers.
However, according to various customers of CNC Motors in Upland, California, they had less-than-ideal experiences buying or selling their vehicle. Issues like bounced checks, lack of communication, and delay in receiving important documents are among the most commonly mentioned complaints.
For several reviewers on Google Reviews, Yelp, and the Better Business Bureau, their purported experiences were apparently not what they were hoping for. CNC Motors seem like they have resolved several issues that their customers have complained about, but according to many reviews, it took far longer than they were expecting to get what they wanted out of their car buying or selling experience.
Not having a title for a vehicle you have purchased may mean you are not actually legally allowed to drive the vehicle you just bought. Unless you bought the car for use as a lawn ornament, it makes sense why someone would be very displeased if they had to wait several months for the title to their vehicle. The concept is similar to making payments on a house that you are not allowed to live in.
Both of the above reviewers reported issues with CNC Motors following through with what should be standard business for a car dealership. The first reviewer, Jose, stated in his review that his car was sold without him ever being notified. That alone would be frustrating, but according to Jose, CNC Motors did not even pay the lien holder of the vehicle. According to the review, that left Jose liable for the payments on a car that he did not even have.
There are a lot of benefits when it comes to selling a car on consignment. For one, you don’t have to actually go through the process of haggling with strangers about the price of your car. Another great reason people sell their cars on consignment is that you will often get more money than the trade-in value of your car. However, some reviewers reported their process being inconvenient and unnecessarily costly.
These reviews are just a few examples of some of the issues CNC Motors customers have reported on various review sites. This is not everyone’s experience at CNC motors, but there appears to be many people with similar stories of late payments, not being notified when their vehicles are sold, and lengthy delays in receiving important documents.
When it comes to purchasing or selling a vehicle, especially exotic and luxury cars like many of the vehicles that CNC Motors deal in, you are making a significant financial decision. You should be confident that the dealership that you are entrusting with your money or property is going to give you nothing but the best customer service.
If it were me, I wouldn’t trust a dime of my money with the mastermind of this disaster, “Clay” Thom.
